The application period is now open for the 2005 National In-Course Awards in the Millennium Excellence Award Program.
A total of 46 York University students will be eligible to receive these national awards in recognition of excellence in both academic achievement and contributions to society which were established by the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation in 2003. Last year, 38 York students received these awards ranging from $4000 for one year to $10,000 over two years.

Information sessions will also be held on the following dates and times:
Keele campus (All sessions will be held in N102 Student Services Centre)
- Feb. 23, 2005, 12:30-1:30pm
- March 30, 2005, 5-6pm
- April 5, 2005, 12:30-1:30pm
- May 3, 2005, 12:30-1:30pm
Glendon campus (All sessions will be held in B206 York Hall)
- March 9, 2005, 12-1pm
- April 12 2005, 12-1pm
The same information will be provided at all the sessions. Potential applicants are advised to review the information on the OSFS Web site before attending an information session.

The foundation created the National In-Course Awards to reward and recognize the academic achievement of students who have completed part of their post-secondary education and who demonstrate community involvement, leadership and innovation.
The Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation is a private and independent organization created by an act of Parliament in 1998. It encourages Canadian students to strive for excellence and pursue their postsecondary studies. The foundation distributes $285 million in bursaries and scholarships each year throughout Canada. Since its inception, it has awarded more than $1.5 billion in the form of over 500,000 bursaries to Canadian postsecondary students.
