The Junior Lions had a 3-0 record in round robin play before advancing to the final with a straight sets victory over the Scarborough Falcons (Ryerson affiliate) in the semifinals. In the championship final, the Junior Lions defeated the Pegasus Volleyball Club (Queen’s affiliate) 3-1.

“The quality of work we have done throughout the university season is paying dividends for our junior program,” said head coach Wally Dyba. “This past weekend was a step to our overall goal of finishing on the podium at the national championships.”

The Junior Lions advance to the under-20 national championship, which will take place April 29 to May 1 in Winnipeg.
