The Presidential Search Committee held its inaugural meeting on Thursday, Nov. 17, and discussed in general how the search will be conducted. The members were joined by Janet Wright, of Janet Wright and Associates, the consultants retained to assist the committee.
The search will proceed in phases:
- wide consultation leading to the creation of a position profile which will be finalized and published in the spring;
- recruitment of candidates; and,
- evaluation of candidates and decision.
The next meeting will be scheduled for early in the new year, at which time the committee will map out the consultation process. Details of the timetable for the consultation phase and the opportunities for community members to participate will be widely publicized when they have been determined.
