Dipak Jain, dean of the Kellogg School of Management at Chicago’s Northwestern University and one of the world’s leading marketing academics, will deliver the inaugural Schulich Lecture titled “The Future of Marketing”. The lecture will take place on Monday, Dec. 5, at 11:45am in The Robert R. McEwen Auditorium at York’s Seymour Schulich Building.

Dean of the Kellogg School of Management since 2001 and a distinguished scholar and professor of marketing, Jain pioneered the use of advanced econometric techniques in the marketing discipline. His areas of research include the marketing of high-tech products; market segmentation and competitive market structure analysis; cross-cultural issues in global product diffusion; new product diffusion; and forecasting models.
He has had more than 30 articles published in leading academic journals and served as departmental editor for the journal Management Science, area editor for Marketing Science and associate editor for the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics. He is the co-author of Nine Major Shifts in the New Economy (Schaffer Poeschel, 2002). Jain teaches courses at Kellogg on marketing research, new products and services, and probabilistic and statistical models in marketing.
