York Professor Dalton Kehoe will deliver a lecture, titled "Ethical Leadership and its Implications for Wellness in the Workplace", on Monday, Feb. 20. Presented by the York University Centre for Practical Ethics and McLaughlin College, Kehoe’s lecture will take place at noon in the McLaughlin Senior Common Room, 140 McLaughlin College, located on York's Keele campus. Right: Dalton Kehoe Kehoe will discuss the relationship between key organizational variables and the wellness of employees based on recent research findings. He will address the managerial behaviours that can contribute to individual and organizational health, and discuss the ethical implications of choices made by organizational leaders at all levels where the rates of employee stress and burnout are consistently rising. Kehoe teaches in the Faculty of Arts Communications Studies Program where he specializes in interpersonal and organizational communications and, in particular, organizational change. In addition to winning York's University-Wide Teaching Award in 1997, Kehoe was recognized last year as one of the top 30 lecturers in Ontario by TVO (see story in the Aug. 2, 2005 issue of YFile). His current research interests are the use of Web and video-streaming technology in hybrid learning formats and the effects of key organizational factors on the engagement of employees in their work and on their emotional wellness.
