Judy Ginsberg (left), special and retrospective collections librarian at Osgoode Hall Law School, has won the Denis Marshall Memorial Award for Excellence in Law Librarianship.
The award, announced during last week’s annual conference in Edmonton of the Canadian Association of Law Librarians, goes to those who have enhanced the profession of law librarianship and provided outstanding service. In honouring Ginsberg for lifetime achievement, the association recognized the leading role she has played in the profession for several decades and in particular the enormous contribution she has made in leading the development and wide-spread adoption of a classification scheme especially designed for Canadian law libraries.
“The staff of the law library and, I am sure, the very many faculty members, staff and students who know Judy congratulate her on this very signal honour,” said Nick Pengelley, Osgoode’s chief law librarian.
