Nursing school's research day focuses on partnerships

York’s School of Nursing welcomed about 60 nursing professors and executives from Toronto-area hospitals and schools for its second annual research day May 18.

Co-chaired by York nursing Professors Janet Jeffrey and Mary Regan, this year’s research day featured a panel discussion, presentations and workshops on the theme Building Partnerships to Promote Clinical Excellence.

"We were very pleased with the turnout, which included faculty, nursing students, representatives from our collaborative partners at Seneca and Georgian colleges and nurses from some of our clinical sites," said Regan. "The panel discussion was lively and informative, the poster and paper presentations and the workshops were well attended and received. But what was most striking," she added, "was the opportunity that the event provided to meet colleagues and forge new relationships to promote and enrich our program."
