At a ceremony March 21, the Council of Arts Student Associations presented a variety of awards to individual students and student associations for outstanding contributions to the enrichment of Faculty of Arts undergraduates’ experience.
Four students received the Spirit of Arts Award: Byron Alvares, mentorship director, Sociology Undergraduate Student Association (SUSA); Jeremy Lombardo, president, Undergraduate Philosophy Student Association, also known as Philosophia; Iman Masud, president, Business & Society Club; and Rebecca Procter, president, Law & Society Student Association.

Three student clubs received the Award for Outstanding Overall Contribution by a Student Association: the Undergraduate Political Science Council, the Law & Society Student Association and the Business & Society Club.
Philosophia accepted the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Association Development. Three clubs received the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Life: the Criminology Society of York University, SUSA and the Anthropology Student Association.
The Alumni Awards for Commitment to Student Experience & Engagement went to Tracey Halliday and Bonnie Granata, co-presidents, SUSA; Heather Glicksman, of the Undergraduate Political Science Council; and Sana Minhas, of the Business & Society Club. Sponsored by the Alumni Office, the awards recognize individuals and associations for organizing co-curricular activities involving alumni.
