Former York chaplain John Judt died on Monday, May 21.
He leaves his wife, Florence, who worked in the Atkinson Faculty of Liberal & Professional Studies for over 20 years, daughter Carolyn Edgecombe, director of Atkinson’s Office of Student & Academic Services, and granddaughter Pam Edgecombe, policy & planning officer, Associate Vice-President Academic Resources Planning.
Rev. Judt brought his family to Toronto from Vancouver in 1964 to become the founding pastor of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in North York.
Visitation takes place today from 12:30 to 2pm, followed by the funeral at 2pm, at Augsburg Lutheran Church, 224 Mill St. South, Brampton. To get there from Highways 401, 427 or 7, turn north on Hurontario Street (Hwy 10), west on Elgin, north on Mill Street.
