President & Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri has circulated the following announcement to the York community:
As previously announced, Sylvia Zingrone, formerly chief of staff, will move to assume the role of executive director, University Events and Community Relations, in the Division of the President on Oct. 5. Sylvia has offered extraordinary support to me in accomplishing a smooth transition at a very high standard and will continue to report to me in this new role.
Ijade Maxwell Rodrigues, the executive officer in the President’s Office, will now assume the role of senior executive officer and will be responsible for the direction and management of the administrative functions of the office. Ijade has a number of years of experience working in this office and I look forward to working with her in this new capacity.
I have greatly benefited from the work of all the staff in the President’s Office over the past three months and look forward to the months ahead.
