York’s Department of Economics will hold a memorial celebration for Professor Charles Plourde today at 2pm in Vari Hall "C", Keele campus, followed by a reception in the Charles Plourde Seminar Room, 1063 Vari Hall.
Prof. Plourde died of cancer on Friday, April 4 (see April 7 issue of YFile).
All friends, students and colleagues of Prof. Plourde’s are welcome to attend. It is hoped that many of the people who knew the York economics professor will share some of their memories of him. Prof. Plourde’s daughter Carolyn Ensley is planning on attending the memorial and says she would like to hear people’s recollections and anecdotes.
