Police investigate a threat at York’s Keele campus

The Toronto Police Service is investigating a general threat made against York University.

York Security Services issued an alert yesterday to the University community saying police will have a heightened visibility on campus while the threat is investigated.

All members of the York community members are asked to be vigilant and report any and all suspicious behaviour they may witness on campus.

More information will be issued as it becomes available from the police investigation.

York University provides the following campus security services:

  • 24/7/365 campus security patrols;
  • 24/7/365 monitored CCTV coverage;
  • goSAFE Transportation Service;
  • Escort – Foot Patrols;
  • Network of Emergency "Blue Light" Telephones.
