York Libraries offer introductory sessions for new faculty

The York University Libraries invite all new faculty (and those who would welcome a refresher) to attend an orientation session. This practical hands-on session will introduce faculty to the wide variety of resources and services available through the libraries.

Many topics will be covered including: acquiring a library card, creating a RACER account for interlibrary loans, placing material on Reserve and suggesting new material for the collections. A question and answer session will follow the orientation session.

The session will be offered on the following dates:

  • Wed. Aug. 13, 2.30 to 4.30pm
Location: Schulich School of Business, Room S236, (2nd floor, classroom with glass walls adjacent to the Bronfman Business Library)
  • Thurs., Sept. 4, 10am to 12pm
Location: Scott Library, Rm. 531 (5th Floor)

If you plan to attend please send an RSVP to Sophie Bury, business librarian, Peter F. Bronfman Business Library, at sbury@yorku.ca for the Aug. 13 session, and Sarah Coysh, assistant librarian, Leslie Frost Library, scoysh@yorku.ca, for the Sept. 4 session.
