The University has issued two sets of frequently asked questions relating to a possible strike by members of CUPE Local 3903, which represents teaching assistants, contract faculty and graduate assistants. The union will be in a legal position to strike at 12:01am on Thursday, Nov. 6.
One set of FAQs covers York staff. Among topics addressed are the requirement to come to work, time-off requests, training options and picketing procedures.
The other set covers York students. It is a multiple-page Web site with FAQs under the categories of General Questions, Admissions, Current Students, Glendon Student Services, Sport and Recreation, Student Community Development and Career Centre.
A set of FAQs for York faculty will be forthcoming shortly.
