The December 2008 issue of YorkU magazine, featuring York’s top undergraduate achievers on the cover, is now available online and in York residences.
The annual feature profiling the top-GPA student in each undergraduate Faculty at the end of second year is one of the magazine’s most popular among students. Due to the current labour dispute, the issue will not be distributed to campus newsstands until students return. Faculty and staff will receive their addressed copies through campus internal mail as usual.
The digital edition can be viewed at the YorkU Web site.
Other stories in the December issue, a campus rather than an alumni edition, look at jealousy in babies, some of Toronto’s oldest churches, York’s storyteller Michiel Horn, the Lions’ new head football coach Mike McLean and how a York student became a female wrestler with the WWE.
This year, YorkU was named Best University Magazine in Canada by the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education and Best Internal Audience Magazine in North America by the Washington-based Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
