University outlines key elements of its CUPE settlement offer

In a new Negotiations Update, the University has outlined key elements of its settlement offer to CUPE Local 3903, calling it "a fair, responsible and sustainable offer". The University stresses elements it says address concerns of long-term contract faculty, including a new, ongoing category of full-time faculty appointments for contract faculty and a new post-retirement benefits program, in addition to other major components of the offer. See the full update here.

CUPE 3903, which represents teaching assistants, contract faculty and graduate assistants at York University, has been on strike since Nov. 6.

For further information, see the Collective Bargaining Updates page and FAQs relating to the strike.
