Glendon Model United Nations (GMUN) is seeking models and volunteer staff for its upcoming Fashion Show 2009, showcasing young contemporary fashion from around the world.
The show will take place Thursday, March 26, from 7 to 9pm, in the Glendon Theatre.
The annual fashion show will feature modern multiculturalism. This year's theme is centred on major international cities, both emerging and established centres of the world. The fashion show is completely student-run and aims to reach the entire Glendon community, celebrating and promoting diversity and expression.
Models and volunteer staff are needed in the weeks leading up to the show and on the day of the event. Auditions for models will be held at the end of February. Organizers are hoping local boutiques and retailers will donate or lend clothing for the event. They are also looking for sponsorships and financial contributions.
Anyone interested in being involved in the show, or looking for more information, should contact Krystle Henry or Alexandra Ross at gmunfashionshow09@gmail.com.
All proceeds will go toward GMUN to help delegates fund conferences. Tickets will go on sale two weeks prior to the show.
