Canadian poet Robyn Sarah will deliver a special reading from her poetry and essay collections on Monday, March 23 from 2:30 to 4pm in the Paul A. Delaney Gallery, 320 Bethune College.
Sarah’s reading is part of the Creative Writing Program Speaker Series presented by the 
Department of English in York’s Faculty of Arts.

Born in New York to Canadian parents, Sarah has lived for most of her life in Montreal. She is the author of seven poetry collections, including her most recent A Day’s Grace, as well as two collections of short stories and a book of essays, Little Eurekas: A Decade’s Thoughts on Poetry.
Her poems have been included in numerous anthologies in Canada and the US and have been read for broadcast on radio programs aired in both countries. Her newest collection of poetry, titled Pause For Breath, will be published by Biblioasis in the fall.
Sarah has won awards for each of the genres she works in. In 1990 she won the CBC Literary Award for Poetry, her short story "Accept My Story" won a National Magazine Award in 1994 and Promise of Shelter (1997) was shortlisted for the 1998 QSPELL Hugh MacLennan Prize for Fiction for the best English-language fiction written by a Quebec author.
