To celebrate Bike to Work Day and raise awareness of cycling at York, Smart Commute – North Toronto, Vaughan, in partnership with York University's Transportation Services and Metrolinx, is holding a Bike-to-Work breakfast today on York's Keele campus for students, staff and faculty.

The event will take place outside the William Small Centre on Campus Walk from 8am to 1pm. Enjoy breakfast courtesy of Aramark catering and learn more about cycling at York.
Participants can drop by with their bicycle for a free tune-up and get advice on maintenance. There will be an opportunity to get important bike safety and security advice from Toronto Police Services. York's Security Services will be on site to register bicycles. There will also be information available about bicycle routes and other cycling initiatives underway in Toronto.
The first 10 cyclists to stop by will get a Smart Commute cycling T-shirt as an expression of thanks for keeping the air clean. There will also be a draw for a chance to win a set of MEC bicycle panniers.
Whether you're a regular cyclist or are just curious, come out to learn more about this healthier and greener travel option. Choosing to commute by bike instead of the car for just one day a week will reduce your transportation greenhouse gas emissions by 20 per cent.
