Police request public's help in search for York student

The Toronto Police Service is concerned for the safety of a missing York University student and is requesting the public's help in finding him.

Shane Fair, 19, was last seen on Saturday, May 16, 2009, after an event at Ontario Place in downtown Toronto.

The University shares the concerns expressed by Shane's friends and family and is working with police to assist in their search.

"I'd like to express my personal assurance that York University staff and students will continue to assist police in any way possible in the search for Shane," said Mamdouh Shoukri, York president & vice-chancellor.

"Our thoughts are with Shane’s family, friends and fellow classmates and we are all hopeful that Shane will be found safe and sound,'’ Shoukri said.
