Police seek more information after charge laid in Scott Library sexual assault

A sexual assault suspect has been apprehended by Toronto police after two separate incidents on York’s Keele campus.

On Sept. 15, a 23-year-old female York student reported she was in the University's Scott Library in the evening when a man followed her into a secluded aisle of books and sexually assaulted her. The victim reported the matter to York Security Services and police.

On Sept. 18, University security officers were again called to the library by an anonymous caller reporting she had just been sexually assaulted.
