The York University Foundation has appointed Wade Hall as its new vice-president of development. Hall, formerly of Queen’s University, leads the chief and senior development officers, and oversees all activities related to the cultivation and solicitation of donors. He is also responsible for independently cultivating and soliciting major donors, and for advising on the overall strategy for the York University Foundation.

Prior to joining York University’s foundation team, Hall split his time between Kingston and Toronto as executive director of development in the Office of Advancement at Queen's University. He was responsible for overseeing Queen's campaign strategy, and major, planned and annual giving, as well as stewardship and management of the university’s Toronto Office. His 16 years of service covers a variety of positions, ranging from his start as a student fundraiser and roles in advancement services and annual giving, through to his role with the Queen’s Toronto Office and in development.
Hall seved as a member of the senior management team in advancement from 1998 until 2009, playing an important role in leading Queen's advancement team and contributing to the success of the $262-million dollar Campaign for Queen's.
Hall is a graduate of both the Royal Military College and Queen’s University. He has a master’s degree in history and a master of public administration.
