The reading will take place Feb. 10, from 2:30 to 4:30pm in the Paul Delaney Gallery, 320 Bethune College, Keele campus.

The Outlander (House of Anansi, 2007) was nominated for the 2009 Prix Femina and the 2008 Commonwealth Writers' Prize. It won the Drummer General’s Award, the Amazon.ca First Novel Award, the ReLit Award and the Dashiell Hammett Award. The story follows a mysterious, desperate 19-year-old woman as she flees across the West in 1903, evading the law and two vengeful brothers-in-law after she has become a widow by her own hand.

Adamson lives in Toronto with poet Kevin Connolly. Copies of her various books will be available for purchase at the reading.

Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend.
