Inaugural Canada-EU Business Lecture today looks at free trade

The inaugural Canada-EU Business Lecture will feature Roy MacLaren, co-chair of the Canada Europe Roundtable for Business, talking about the relations between the European Union and Canada today.

"Canada-EU Relations: Prospects for a Free Trade Agreement" will take place today from 11am to 12:30pm in N105 Seymour Schulich Building, Keele campus.

MacLaren has spent 12 years in the Canadian foreign service, including postings in Hanoi, Prague and the United Nations. He also spent a total of 13 years as a member of Parliament, including three years as minister for international trade, and served as Canada's high commissioner to the United Kingdom from 1996 to 2000. He has also served on the boards of a number of multinational corporations.

Everyone is welcome to attend. The Canada-EU Business Lecture is presented by the European Union Centre of Excellence at York and the International Master of Business Administration Program in the Schulich School of Business.
