Financial Times ranks Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA number one in Canada

The Financial Times of London has ranked the Kellogg-Schulich Executive MBA (EMBA) at York University as number one in Canada and 23rd in the world.

This is the fourth year that Schulich has been eligible to participate in the Financial Times ranking and the fourth straight year that its EMBA program has been ranked as Canada best. The ranking measures a wide range of criteria, emphasizing in particular EMBA graduates’ salaries and salary increases, which are strongly influenced by region- and country-specific, as well as international factors.

“We’re pleased to have been ranked by the Financial Times of London as the number one EMBA program in Canada for the fourth straight year and among the top 25 EMBA programs in the world,” said Schulich School of Business Dean Dezsö Horváth.

In placing 23rd globally in the 2010 Financial Times ranking, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA program finished ahead of Cornell and just behind Kellogg, its EMBA partner school. Among EMBA programs based in North America or involving North American schools, it ranked 13th overall.

Among Canadian-based programs, the Kellogg-Schulich EMBA placed ahead of those delivered by the Rotman School of Management and the Ivey School of Business, which shared 29th place; the Alberta-Haskayne EMBA (a joint program of the University of Alberta School of Business and the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business), ranked 48th; the Cornell-Queen’s EMBA ranked 55th; and the Queen’s EMBA, ranked 69th overall.
