Lest we forget: York remembers

How will you remember?

The York University Remembrance Day ceremony is held annually on Nov. 11 at the flagpole on the Harry W. Arthurs Common on York’s Keele campus. It is attended by faculty, staff, students and members of the off-campus community.

This year, the Remembrance Day ceremony will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 10:45am. Community members should meet in the Vari Hall Rotunda at 10:30am, at which time a piper will lead the procession to the flagpole.

Remembrance Day 2010 will feature a special presentation of "The Poppy Song" by children from the York University Co-operative Daycare Centre. The ceremony also offers an opportunity to honour and remember all those who served in times of war, military conflict and peace.
