New this year, the York University Bookstore has unveiled its new textbook rental program. Together with used books, e-textbooks and its guaranteed buyback, this new initiative is part of the Bookstore’s continuing efforts to save students money.
How it works – Rent, Receive and Return:
- On the Bookstore website, go to the new Textbook Rental page and click on the rental link.
- Search for the textbook you wish to rent and decide on the rental time frame needed – five options from 30 to 125 days are available.
- Simply checkout (the three major credit cards are accepted for payment). The book is then shipped via Canada Post to home or residence, arriving in five to 10 business days.
- On or before the return date, bring the book back to the York University Bookstore “Returns Desk” at either the Keele or Glendon campuses. There is no need to worry about returns shipping.
The Bookstore will scan the book and log its return. A confirmation e-mail acknowledging the return will then be sent to the student who returned the book.
