Work is progressing on an extension of Tangiers Road and Murray Ross Parkway in preparation for the Finch West subway station construction. Once complete, the extension will provide a detour route around the intersection of Keele Street and Finch Avenue West to help ease traffic congestion during station construction.
This advanced work also includes the relocation of the water mains and utilities on Keele Street, from Finch Avenue West to north of Murray Ross Parkway.

Starting on Wednesday, April 6, the northbound curb lane of Keele Street will be closed in stages between Finch Avenue West and Murray Ross Parkway to facilitate water main work. This work will take approximately nine weeks to complete.
Motorists may face traffic delays due to varying lane restrictions on the following streets:
- Keele Street: Southbound from 200 metres north of Murray Ross Parkway to Finch Avenue West is restricted to a single lane for watermain and utilities work. The northbound curb lane will be closed to Murray Ross Parkway.
- Murray Ross Parkway: Continues to be restricted to a single lane in each direction from Keele Street to Jack Evelyn Wiggins Drive. Widening of the north shoulder, east of Keele Street, has started, but will not affect access to or from the Shell Oil property.
- Finch Avenue West: Westbound approaching Keele Street. Only one westbound lane will be closed at a time.
Paid duty officers will be on site to ensure safe traffic flow.
Transit delays can be expected during peak times on 36 Finch West, 107 Keele North and 41 Keele bus services. The Toronto Transit Commission bus stop on the northeast corner of Keele and Finch has been temporarily moved to the southeast corner of Keele and Finch.
