Starting as early as today, the installation of construction fencing around the York University subway station site will begin on the Keele campus.
Work will begin on the area immediately north of the Seymour Schulich Building and will encompass the south branch of York Boulevard running east from Ian Macdonald Boulevard. The second lot of fencing will be installed around the area immediately east of the Seymour Schulich Building adjacent to James Gillies Street (running north from Fine Arts Road).

Installation of the fencing will continue until mid-July (although poor weather may delay the progress of the work). There will be intermittent lane closures as the fencing is installed.
Road closures
Once the fencing work is completed, the north leg of York Boulevard will be closed, as will Ian Macdonald Boulevard from Vanier Lane to Fine Arts Road. Vehicles will be redirected through the diversion road that runs north from York Boulevard, through the York Boulevard Parking Lot westward to Ian Macdonald Boulevard.

To assist vehicles, transit buses and pedestrians with navigating the closures, traffic control personnel will be stationed near the work area.
