Inside the latest issue of YorkU magazine, which hits the stands today, are the annual profiles of eight undergraduates, the top academic achievers in their Faculties after second year.
Previously they made the cover of YorkU’s old December campus issue, but this year they are featured in the February alumni issue. So the tradition continues, and York can now share the story of these stellar students with a much larger audience of 200,000 alumni and friends.
YorkU magazine has been celebrating these students in print since 2003. This year, for the first time, you can also hear them speak about their experience in video interviews posted on the York University YouTube channel. Click this link to see the full playlist of videos.
The videos are also linked to the online version of YorkU magazine; just click on the title of each profile.
This issue also features another story with an accompanying video. “Storm Stalker” profiles Mark Robinson, a York-trained meteorologist who chases hurricanes and other storms for The Weather Network. A natural on camera, he talks about his passion in a video interview that includes film footage of Hurricane Katrina, also posted on York’s YouTube channel.
