Courtroom getting makeover for human trafficking trial

The John Sopinka Courthouse has to prepare for the largest human trafficking case in Canadian history – and it’s going to cost big dollars, wrote the Hamilton Spectator Jan. 27.

“It’s millions and millions and millions of taxpayer dollars,” said James Stribopoulos, a criminal law professor at York’s Osgoode Hall Law School. “That is the price of justice. Unfortunately, it’s not negotiable.”

But it remains to be seen whether the money will be well spent, he added. Read full story.
