As part of the construction to prepare the site for the 2015 Pan-American Summer Games Stadium that will be built on York University’s Keele campus, a section of Ian Macdonald Boulevard has been closed as of Monday, Aug. 20. The roadway will be closed until Tuesday, Sept. 4. A pedestrian and traffic map that outlines the detour is now available. Click here to download a large format PDF of the map.
The area affected by the closure extends from the western side of the Founders Road traffic circle to the eastern side of the Northwest Gate traffic circle. Ottawa Road will also be closed to traffic, as will the East Office Building Reserved Parking Lot.
It is anticipated that the roadway will reopen in time for the start of classes on Sept. 5.
