Yemisi Dina, associate librarian and head of public services of the Osgoode Hall Law School Library, has been awarded the inaugural Janine Miller Fellowship by the Canadian Association of Law Libraries.
The Janine Miller Fellowship will provide support for Dina's participation at the 20th Law via the Internet Conference at Cornell University Law School, Ithaca, New York, in October. The conference will gather nearly 300 of the world’s leading advocates of open legal access across disciplines ranging from public participation in government and open access publishing, to government policy, application development and legal informatics.
This year’s conference, features keynote addresses by legal technology innovator Richard Susskind and social media visionary Clay Shirky. More than 75 speakers from 25 countries will deliver presentations that encompass all aspects of legal information technology and the free-access-to-law movement.
The fellowship fund is supported by a donation from the Canadian Legal Information Institute (CLII) and is named after Miller, a former librarian of the Great Library of the Law Society of Upper Canada, as well as the director and executive director of the CLII.
