A toonie for French Toast Wednesday in support of United Way

The Schulich French Toast Breakfast in support of the York Cares United Way Campaign will take place Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 8 to 11am, at the CIBC Marketplace in the Seymour Schulich Building.

In addition to regular French toast, a gluten-free option will be available. French toast will be $2 and coffee or tea $1.

The final participation draw extravaganza will take place at 9:30am during the breakfast event for those who submitted their United Way pledge forms by the Friday deadline and slices of french toastpledged $1/week or $52/year. Prizes will include two tickets to anywhere Air Canada flies, donated by York grad John F. Bankes (LLB/MBA ’77); an iPod Nano, donated by Data Integrity; a York University golf bag; and “Lunch for 2” at the Schulich Executive Dining Room, donated by the Schulich Executive Learning Centre.

There will also be draws for a gift certificate valued at $25 for Michelangelo’s Cafeteria donated by Michelangelo’s; a gift certificate valued at $15 for the Orange Snail donated by the Orange Snail; and a gift certificate valued at $10 for Country Style (Kosher) Deli.

So far the campaign has raised more than $161,000 with a nine per cent participation rate.

The Schulich French Toast Breakfast is sponsored by the Schulich Executive Learning Centre and The Promotion Specialists.
