The Faculty of Environmental Studies (FES) is hosting a celebration of research in collaboration with the Office of the Vice-President Research & Innovation, showcasing faculty and student research and publications.
The celebration will take place today, from 2 – 4 pm, in the Scott Library, Keele Campus.
“This celebration provides an opportunity to showcase research excellence in the Faculty of Environmental Studies and enables the York community to share ideas and engage in discussions on a variety of compelling research topics,” said Robert Haché, vice-president research & innovation. “All members of the York community are welcome to attend.”
Noël Sturgeon, dean of the Faculty of Environmental Studies, adds her encouragement for the York community to attend the FES Research Celebration. “This is an important opportunity for us to celebrate and share all the 
great research that our faculty and students do in FES. We are proud to highlight our faculty and student research and publications recognizing their contribution to and impact on society,” said Sturgeon.

Following the welcome and opening remarks by Haché and Martin Bunch, associate dean research, FES, researchers from the faculty will discuss their recent research and publications.
Researchers presenting brief talks about their books are:

There will also be faculty book displays and sales by the York Bookstore in the Scott Library Atrium and a displary of faculty and student research posters. In addition, graduate research presentations will take place from 10am to 12pm in 141 Health Nursing and Environmental Studies (HNES) Building. There will be a joint seminar in collaboration with Osgoode Hall Law School, titled “From Northern Gateway to Line 9: The New Law and Politics of Energy Pipelines in Canada,” will be held from 12:30 to 2:30pm in 140 HNES.
