Distinguished Research Professor Michael Herren of the Department of Humanities in the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies has just been awarded a research prize from the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation.
The prize will enable Herren to begin work on the first complete edition of the oldest Latin-English dictionary, the Épinal-Erfurt Glossary, dated to the late 17th century. He will collaborate with Professor Hans Sauer, emeritus professor of English Philology at the University of Munich.
