British economist John Kay, a visiting professor at the London School of Economics, will deliver the fifth Davies Fund Lecture on Friday, March 22. The lecture is presented by the Jay and Barbara Hennick Centre for Business & Law and Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP.

Kay will discuss the findings of his recently issued report to the UK government, “The Kay Report – Review of UK Equity Markets and Long Term Decision Making”. He will also comment on the UK government’s commitment to act on his findings, as detailed in “Ensuring Equity Markets Support Long-Term Growth”, the government’s response to his report.
His talk is the fifth in a series in a business law lecture program made possible by the generous support of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP.
Kay is a Fellow of St. John’s College, Oxford; a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh; and a Fellow of the British Academy. He was the first director of Oxford University’s Said Business School. In addition to being a distinguished academic, a successful businessman and an adviser to companies and governments around the world, Kay writes a weekly column for the Financial Times on topical issues in economics, finance and business.
