For businesses in the information age, handling data well is as important as the proper management of financial and physical resources….According to the U.S. data loss study and Canadian experts, portable devices are often weak points for data security. “If I were to suggest a plan for organizations, I’d recommend they restrict how and where data is stored,” said Steve Pottle, director of risk management services for York University, in the Financial Post March 13. “The best way to prevent loss is to remove the data from the devices themselves.
