ANTARES Publishing House of Spanish Culture and the Cultural Celebration of the Spanish Language will celebrate International Book Day Tuesday with a host of guests and a tribute to three playwrights who will receive the Prize Airel Art(e) T(h)eater XXI.
The celebration, which coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month in Canada, will take place April 23, from 6 to 8pm, in the Ballroom, Glendon Hall, Glendon College. Everyone is welcome to attend. 
Refreshments will be served.
Many of the authors of the more than 20 books ANTARES has published in Spanish, English and French since its inception in 2006 will be on hand, as will representatives of the Consular Corps of Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Peru and Spain.
There will also be representatives of Toronto City Hall and the Hispanic Development Council of Canada, and members of the 
Spanish-speaking community of Toronto and vicinity, along with Glendon Principal Ken McRoberts.
The Prize Airel Art(e) T(h)eater XXI is designed to showcase excellence in theatrical creativity within the context of inter-cultural and artistic affinities in plays written in Spanish, English or French, or presented in translation from or into 
one of the three languages. The three prizes to be handed out will be the Melpomane, Thalia and Dionysios. ANTARES has played a large role in helping to publicize the artistic and academic achievements made by Hispanic-Canadians.

from Café Con Pan, who will be performing Son Jarocho, a fusion of indigenous, Spanish and African elements reflecting the music of Veracruz, Mexico.
