YorkU magazine’s fall 2013 issue is available online at digital.yorku.ca, featuring a Q-and-A with urban historian Jay Young, the latest autism research from three York psychologists, and profiles on aerial photographer Lou Wise, artist Kim Dorland and Canadian Olympic women’s ice hockey coach Dan Church, to name a few.
YorkU is reducing its print distribution as it works to bolster its online presence. Produced three times during the academic year, the magazine will be printed and mailed to alumni and friends of the University two times a year, in the fall and summer. The winter issue of the magazine will be available to readers as a strictly digital edition.
YorkU will no longer be distributed to magazine racks throughout York’s campuses, and it will be delivered to Faculties, departments and administrative units in limited quantities. All issues of the magazine will be available digitally on York’s website at digital.yorku.ca, and it will also be available in the near future through YU Link, York’s new intranet.
During this transition, if your Faculty, department or administrative unit requires additional copies of the printed magazine or is receiving too many copies, special requests can be e-mailed to lmacadam@yorku.ca.
Note: For faculty and staff who are also York alumni, if you are not receiving YorkU magazine at home but you would like to receive it, simply update your communications preferences through the Alumni Relations website, ensuring your mailing address is up to date and the “No Mail” box beside YorkU magazine is not selected.
