Journalist Martin Gottlieb's lecture live streamed today at York University

The Writing Department at York University is hosting a live streaming event today from 4:30 to 5pm with the renowned American journalist, Martin Gottlieb.

The event is part of the WRIT 4701 course, Journalism Ethics: A Practical and Theoretical Approach, taught by Professor Andrea McKenzie. Students in the class will interact with Gottlieb who will be in his office in North Jersey. Gottlieb will talk about journalism as a profession and answer questions from the students. Gottlieb is the former global editions editor of The New York Times, including the International Herald Tribune. Prior to that he served as editor-in-chief of the Village Voice and as managing editor of the New York Daily News. He is currently editor of The Record and Herald News of North Jersey.

Gottlieb holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University, has taught journalism at Princeton, Columbia and New York universities, and has been nominated multiple times for the Pulitzer Prize in journalism.
