Construction in the Vanier-Founders College Green on a cross passage for the northern subway tunnels, part of the Toronto York Spadina Subway Extension (TYSSE) project, will continue until the spring of 2014. The construction site area is situated south east of Ottawa Road and in the Vanier-Founders Green near the Founders Residence and east of the Lumbers Building parking lot.
Construction work over the next six months will include:
- Waterproofing walls and passage ways in tunnel structure.
- Constructing the passage ways, bottom slab and walls.
- Constructing the cross passage walls and roof slab.
- Back filling the excavation and restoration of the area.
Work Hours
Work will normally run between 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday. During the work there will be noise and vibration from the construction.
Pedestrian Access
Pedestrians will need to use the temporary walkway south of the construction site.
