From Tuesday, April 15, to Friday, April 18, there will be lane restrictions during off-peak hours on eastbound York Boulevard between James Gillies Street and the TTC Busway, and on the transit bridge exiting from the Harry W. Arthurs Common at York University. The lane restrictions are for sanitary and storm sewer power washing and videotaping work. Flagging personnel will direct both directions of traffic through one lane on the traffic bridge and at the intersection of York Boulevard and James Gillies Street.
There will be two vacuum trucks on campus during this time, working at various sewer access points around the construction site and outside the hoarding, resulting in increased construction noise. Vacuum trucks are used to power wash the sewers, locate the underground utilities and excavate around them, if required.
Work will take place during off-peak hours, from 9:30am to 3:30pm and after 7pm. This work is weather permitting and may be rescheduled.
As construction progresses at the York University subway site, construction-related notices will continue to be issued.
