The Tait McKenzie Centre on York’s Keele campus is undergoing major renovations

Pardon the mess, we are renovating things to make them better for you. The shower and washroom facilities in the men’s and women’s locker rooms at the Tait McKenzie Centre are getting a major face-lift this summer.

The renovated facilities will be ready for use mid fall. New fixtures, lighting, a gender neutral change room and washroom areas that are accessible are among the upgrades.

Guests will still have access to the lockers, however all wet areas will be closed in early July to accommodate the construction. Temporary showers and washroom facilities have been brought in for guests to use and all facilities will be open during the renovation.

Contact a Tait McKenzie Centre client services representative at 416-736-5185 or taitmck@yorku.ca for more information.

Renovation timelines:

  • Late June – Preparation of outside area to house temporary showers and washrooms. Placement of shower/washroom trailers and utility hook up.
  • Early July – Guests directed to use temporary shower trailers. Closure of locker room showers and washrooms for demolition.
  • July to Fall – Renovation of locker room showers and washrooms.
  • August 2-8 – Tait McKenzie Centre will be closed for the civic holiday and renovations.
  • Late Fall – Project completion.

All dates are subject to change.
