Standard First Aid and CPR C certification courses available starting Saturday

First aid being performed on a dummySign up for York Sport & Recreation’s Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification course or the Standard First Aid and CPR C Recertification course.

The Standard First Aid and CPR C certification course will be offered Jan. 17 and 18, Feb. 7 and 8, and March 7 and 8, from 10am to 6pm, at Studio 6, Tait Mckenzie Centre, Keele campus. The cost of the course is $100.

The 16-hour Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid course provides comprehensive training covering all aspects of first aid and CPR. This course is for those who want an in-depth understanding of first aid. Successful candidates receive both Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification. Standard First Aid is recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

The Standard First Aid and CPR C Recertification course will be offered on Jan. 25, from 10am to 6pm, at 320 Bethune College, Keele campus. The cost of the course is $70. The prerequisites for this course include having taken a full Standard First Aid and CPR C certification course within the past three years through the Lifesaving Society only. A past certification card must be brought to the course.

All courses take place in Studio 6, Tait Mckenzie Centre.
