Concrete pour at York University Station site April 17

A large concrete pour for the concourse level of the station box is scheduled for Friday, April 17, at the future York University Station. The pour will begin at 6am and will continue until 4pm. During the work, there will be construction-related noise from trucks and equipment. Work will take place in the “contractor work zone” as shown on the map below.

To maintain traffic flow on York Boulevard, concrete trucks will be staged in unused portions of detour roads adjacent to the construction site.

The City of Toronto normal working hours are 7am to 7pm. However, the City of Toronto has approved a noise bylaw amendment for major transit projects, which allows contractors to perform overnight and weekend work for the duration of the project, when required. Permitted night work includes concrete pours.

Note: The date is subject to change depending on weather.

As work progresses at the York University Station Site, construction-related notices will continue to be issued.
