Due to voltage problems which could be affecting parts of campus, it is necessary to transfer the following buildings to the opposite transformer at York’s Steeles substation, resulting in a short electrical outage on Tuesday, July 28, at 7am. This work cannot be delayed. The interruption should last less than three minutes in all buildings except the ones identified below as momentary.
Note: The switching scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, is still applicable. However, the Lassonde, Steacie, Chemistry and Life Sciences buildings will no longer be impacted on Wednesday.
Attempts are being made to resolve this without any load transfer. If successful, this notification will be cancelled.
