Continuous work at York University Station site Aug. 10 to 14

From Monday, Aug. 10, to Friday, Aug. 14, construction will take place 24 hours per day at the York University Station site. Work will include removal of the excavation support system within the station box to accelerate construction of the station. During this period, there will be some noise from construction vehicles. Every effort will be made by the contractor to minimize noise. Work will take place in the “contractor work zone” shown on the map below.

The City of Toronto’s  normal working hours are 7am to 7pm, however, the city has approved a noise bylaw amendment for major transit projects, allowing contractors to perform overnight and weekend work when required. Extended work hours are expected to occur within the hoarded construction site at York University until December. As construction progresses at the York University Station site, notices will continue to be issued.
