This year, students, staff and faculty will have an entire week to explore the variety of programs Campus Recreation has to offer when Try-It Week at Tait Mackenzie begins on Sept. 14.
The annual promotional event that showcases sport clubs, intramurals, fitness programs and more, will extend this year from one day to four days, and will run until Sept. 17.
Peter Mumford, manager, Campus Recreation and Sport at York University, said this year he decided to do things a little differently to offer more opportunities to students, staff and faculty interested in sports and recreation on campus.
Try-It Week will begin Sept. 14, with a preview night scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 6 to 9pm.
“This will be the main open house night where we showcase some of our different intramurals and some of our clubs and programs,” said Mumford.
All week, the facility will offer free events and different nights will showcase different aspects of the department.
