The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has recently increased overnight transit services to York University. This is a great benefit to students living on campus, in addition to students, staff and faculty who work overnight, stay late or come in early in the morning.
The new routes that are part of the Blue Night Network servicing York University are:
- 335 Jane (effective Sunday, Oct. 11)
Overnight service from Jane Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Buses run every 30 minutes from approximately 2 to 5am from Monday to Saturday, and from 2 to 9am on Sundays. - 341 Keele
Overnight service from Keele Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Buses run every 30 minutes from approximately 2 to 5am from Monday to Saturday, and from 2 to 9am on Sundays. - 353 Steeles
Overnight service from York University to Markham Road in Scarborough on Steeles Avenue. Buses run every 30 minutes from approximately 2 to 5am from Monday to Saturday, and from 2 to 9am on Sundays.
Additionally, the TTC will be providing extended service for the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche event by running a special shuttle between Downsview Station and York University starting Oct. 3 and running to sunrise on Oct. 4. Visit the TTC website for transit schedules.
Trip planning assistance is now available through a new website, Triplinx, launched by Metrolinx. The website offers trip planning advice for routes throughout the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
